Heroic Men hunkered down during 2024 and built a Hail Mary plan, a moonshot idea to swing for the fences like no ministry in North America has ever done. We can’t solve this problem the way everyone else has been doing it. The time for small ideas is over.
In 2025 - with God’s help and yours - we will change the lives of 25,000 men - and host 10 workshops to train and certify 1000 men as Heroic Leaders for the Church.
In fact, we already started.
And guess what?

But first, I want you to meet Alan. He’s an amazing man from Harlem, a former gang-member with tattoos up his neck and down his arms, a man with a dark past and fast smile that lights up the room.
Alan grew up in a nightmare: his abusive father beat him almost every day. A former Marine, one of the few and the proud, his dad was alone with his sorrows and his demons, and handled them by getting high, getting drunk, and beating his son. He was locked up in prison, and Alan lost his dad. Alan was left with a massive void in his life. How many boys across America face the same emptiness?
Alan filled that void by joining the Bloods, a brutal terrorist gang that threatens our communities. To join, he had to fight 12 men for five straight minutes—blood in, blood out. Brutal. But he made it - and the reward was brotherhood. Or that’s what he thought. It was a brotherhood built on death and violence, and it dragged him into a life of chaos.
Alan’s bold, broken heart hungered for the strength of brotherhood to help him live a good life.
How many men have similar stories? These are very real experiences for a lot of men, and many have no one to talk to.
In fact, 31% of Catholic men do not have one close friend in their parish (New Emangelization Data Project).
This is an epidemic we can no longer ignore.

- The man to your right in the Sunday pew: he just picked up another shift to make ends meet in a tough economy. He barely sees his family, and doesn’t know a single man’s name at the parish.
- The man ahead of you in the Communion line feels helpless with his children, and has no idea how to connect with them, or who to talk to.
- The man who passed you in the parking lot? His son just told him that he’s gay. Now he’s wondering if he should even stay Catholic at all. He has no connection to his faith any more.
Men like these - and millions more - need help. But not the kind of help you can put in a box and mail off… or give them a book on their way out… or send them an email. They need something deeper. Let me tell you about that.
That something deeper is what sparked a change in Alan’s life. He was narrowly avoiding prison. Managing his depression with alcohol. Feeling crushed under the weight of his failings and regrets.
Alan met a man who took him under his wing, showing him what real brotherhood looks like—how to rely on God, how to have real conversations rooted in Scripture, and how to challenge him to simple acts of daily heroism. It wasn’t talk. It was action. A brotherhood that built him up every single day.
That shook him to his core. He found himself sobbing in a Bible study, unable to speak, choking on his own words. God was at work in his life.
Today, he thanks his loving wife Daniela, and his parish priest, who never stopped calling him back to his Catholic faith. And that man who showed him brotherhood? His name is Mike - a regional leader for Heroic Men in New York city.
Alan’s story is proof that friendship and heroic, Christ-centered brotherhood is the vital answer men need. He is an inspiration to our whole Heroic Men movement. He stood up - and with trembling words - shared his testimony at our Heroic Leadership Summit in June 2024. And the room deafened with applause for his story. It’s called Heroic Stories, a stunning video series and powerful podcast that shares stories like Alan’s —men who’ve been in the trenches and know what it takes to walk the hard path. Stories that move people.
Heroic Stories is more than content; it’s a wake-up call. Every episode will be packed with the fuel men need to activate their faith, sharpen their purpose, and get moving on a life that means something. And we want to change the lives of 25,000 men with them.
Plus, we are hosting 10 Heroic Leadership Workshop & Launch Programs across North America to build up on-fire heroic missionary disciples. These disciples are committed to lifting up their brothers, and get an 8-week training program to spiritually double and triple the number of men they reach.
