Pre-record a conversation with Dominic for Heroic Stories. Shared on YouTube, Spotify, and popular podcast platforms. The audience is Catholic men looking for inspiration to outreach to other men.

4 key questions we will discuss:
What is a story about heroism you heard that fires you up, and you love to talk about?
What was the most courageous or riskiest thing you ever did?
Who are the heroes in your life that you turn to, who inspire you to be a better man?
Who do you want to be a hero for (beside God and your family)?
A series to strengthen Catholic men with real stories of heroic grit & faith, brought to you from Heroic Men.

Hosted by Dominic de Souza. Each week, I sit down with a guest to ask them how they made it through their darkest moments, who are their heroes, and who do they want to be a hero for.

These are real men who’ve battled doubt, sought purpose, and changed their lives in ways that can inspire you and me to do the same.

These are the stories that remind us… heroism isn’t born—it’s made.
Audio and Visual Expectations
We will use an online studio called Riverside for recording for high quality video and audio. No need to download anything. Please ensure you have:
  • A stable, fast internet connection.
  • A quiet, well-lit space for recording.
  • A quality microphone and webcam.
  • Headphones or earbuds to avoid echo.

Joining the Session:
  • For best results, close all apps
  • Ensure your computer is plugged in and charging.
  • Use up-to-date Chrome or Edge browser. (Download Chrome: https://www.google.com/chrome )
  • Sign in  10-15 minutes before start so we can test audio and video setup, and ensure you look and sound great.

Troubleshooting:
  • If you have any problems: text Dominic at (540) 692-4677

Camera / Webcam:
  • Avoid looking down at the camera.
  • Eye-level: Prop your laptop or mobile device on top of something (stack of books). Please try to look directly at the camera while speaking so the audience can connect with you.

Lighting:
  • Main light source in front of you: Open window, natural light, or lamp with softened light
  • Avoid bright light behind you: Can blow out background and/or darken your face
  • Your face should fill most of the screen: Top of your head near the top of the screen

Audio:
  • Microphone & Headphones: Use a $10 plug-in microphone and earphones. If you have better equipment, that is welcome. The default microphone on your laptop is adequate, not great, and can cause feedback loops with your speakers.
  • Background Noise:
    • Avoid being near  noisy distractions
    • Turn fans (including ceiling fans) off
    • Sit where the A/C is not blowing directly on your microphone.
